Moving Pictures: A Look at the Illustrated Harry Potter

Warning: this is a fairly image-heavy post.

Warning #2: if you haven't picked up a copy of the illustrated Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone yet, and you don't want anything spoiled, look away now!!

I'm a proud member of the Harry Potter generation. The books - and later, the movies - have been a part of my life since I was about eight. So when I found out about the illustrated editions, I pre-ordered that sucker so fast, I'm surprised my credit card didn't explode.

The book still starts the same way:

Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.

And, though I haven't re-read it yet, I'm sure the whole experience is just as magical as it was the first ten times.

I'm sure you've seen the promotional images that have been floating around for a few months - mostly the main characters and a castle or two - so I've gathered a couple of my favourite images for your viewing pleasure.

Apologies for the fuzzy quality, I was using my phone (also featuring my black/white/pink comforter!).
