Halloween Prep 101

Halloween is a week away, and we're here with some recommendations to get you in the spooky spirit.

Sam

Music: Panic! at the Disco is one of my favourite bands so perhaps I'm biased, but if you're looking for a non-traditional Halloween song, get into the spirit with their jam "It's Almost Halloween."

You could also listen to their cover of "This is Halloween", though if you're feeling brave, you can put on the Marilyn Manson cover (which is terrifying).

Movies: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a classic. I also find that Coraline and Paranorman are excellent for sorta-kinda-not-really scared feeling (they're for kids. They can't be that scary, right??). At my house, we used to watch the animated Disney version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but if you're "too old" to giggle over the lanky Icabod Crane, the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version is decent.

And if you believe that The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie, then of course you should watch that too (personally, I believe it's a Christmas movie, but I'll probably start watching it in November).
