Best of 2015

Now that Christmas is over, we're looking forward to the new year. But before we can ring in 2016, we're looking back at the best of 2015!

Best Album: Hamilton

By far, the thing that I have been most consistently obsessed with is Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton. I still have at least one song off the album in my head every day, and with every passing day my love grows stronger.

Best Song: "Wait for It" - Hamilton

The song I keep on repeat.

Best Book: Furiously Happy - Jenny Lawson

This book delighted me, saddened me and gave me hope. Check out my full review here!

Best Podcast: My Brother, My Brother, and Me

By far the podcast I've listened to the most of this year and I've laughed out loud in every single episode I've listened to. I wrote a full review about it here!

Best Movie: Star Wars: The Force Awakens/The Hateful Eight/What We Do In The Shadows

Best TV Show: Jessica Jones/Unreal/Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Best Video Game: Life Is Strange

By far the most inventive and emotionally charged video I've ever played. Check out my mini-review on Jane's Views here!

Best Album: That's The Spirit - Bring Me the Horizon

Best Book: Every Word - Ellie Marney

I have seen the aftermath of death, the incredible mechanism of the body laid bare, and I know now that each person is a kind of miracle. A spark nestles like a bird inside our chests, so deep that we can’t find where it lives, but it is everything. It’s what makes us dream and think and feel and laugh and sing. And it is a mystery, and it is mundane, and, above all, it is fragile. Any moment could be our last.
— Rachel Watts, Every Word

Best Concert #2: The Ghost Inside Benefit Show with Deaf Havana, Your Demise, and You Me At Six

Best Movie: Peanuts

Best New TV Show: The Muppets

Best Song: "Miles Away" - The Maine

Best Video: "Emperor's New Clothes" - Panic! at the Disco

With an album (and hopefully tour!) from Panic! at the Disco coming up in early 2016, plus the Sherlock special on January 1st,  I'm already pretty excited for the new year. Here's hoping 2016 is just as awesome as 2015 was!
