Woman Crush Wednesday: Emma Stone

You know how there are some celebs that just seem like they’d be the coolest people to hang out with? Emma Stone is one of those people for me. Sure, I’ve never met her, and I know you can’t judge an actor/actress solely on the characters they play, but she seems like a genuinely awesome person.

For one, she makes the best faces ever, so you know she’d always be able to make you smile.

For another, she seems to lay down truth bombs like no one’s business, whether it’s calling out her own boyfriend on a sexist comment, or talking about the importance of self-love.

I’m actively working hard on learning to appreciate yourself no matter what. If what someone else says can easily derail you, it means your sense of self isn’t that firmly established in the first place. It’s an inside job. You’re beautiful and worthy and totally unique. People insult each other based on their own insecurities — even though it may feel personal, it really never is.

She has a great sense of style and can pull off her now-iconic red hair as well as her natural blondeness.

She works with Stand Up to Cancer to fight against women’s cancers, especially after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. And when she and Andrew Garfield were photographed together, they often used their fame to draw attention to other causes that were near to their hearts.

Plus she’s resourceful and inventive, having convinced her family to let her become an actress by using a PowerPoint presentation when she was 14.

What sets you apart can sometimes feel like a burden and it’s not. And a lot of the time, it’s what makes you great.

What's not to love about Emma Stone? Personally, I'm hoping she and Andrew Garfield are still together (despite the break-up rumours) because they seemed like an adorable, down-to-earth couple and I want to be BFF's with them.
