I'm never as active as I'd like to be. With a job that requires me to be on my butt for 7 hours a day, by the time I get home, I'm exhausted from not moving. I've found that working out in the morning is a better bet for me, but even that can be distressing as I drag my sleepy self across my apartment. Luckily, there's someone who can help me (and maybe you!) out, someone who is chipper, talented and a skilled teacher. That person is Adriene, from Yoga with Adriene.
I've been doing Adriene's videos for over a year and she is never boring. With videos ranging in length from 15 mins to over an hour, Adriene has every kind of yogic experience covered, from sun salutations, to individual poses, to yoga specifically when you have cramps (I'm a big fan of this one). Her latest venture is another 30 day challenge called "Yoga Camp".
"Yoga Camp" is awesome. Each day comes with a new mantra like, "I accept," "I Create," and "I am Focused," thoughts that you can bring to your day after your practice. Each video is different so you never feel stuck or annoyed. Though I'm obviously not in the room with her, her guidance through the videos is so well done that it feels as if I truly am just across from her. She gives adjustments for those just starting out in their practice but also shows more advanced takes on poses so everyone can get the most out of their work out. All of her videos are free on YouTube, so if you're still lugging around that extra Christmas lethargy, check Yoga with Adriene out.
